We have become guardians of tradition. We have united our vision with the passion of young farmers on the island, while also paying heed to the older, the more experienced among us. With an invisible line, another ‘Thread of Ariadne’, we have linked yesterday with today and tomorrow. Tradition, Place, Rural Life, Quality, Know-how, Growth, Fine Products from Crete and the Agrunion of Heraklion for all. That, in a nutshell, or, rather, in a bottle, is our philosophy. You’ll taste it in every sip. You’ll recognise it in every activity or event of the Agrunion of Heraklion, inside and outside the winery, in every bottle!
Our philosophy derives from our love of what we do; from our respect and devotion to our place, our land. It is the continuation of Crete’s age-old tradition with the vineyard, with wine. Our philosophy is in sharing; in showcasing the agricultural products of our land. It involves supporting local producers and making the most of the unique native grape varieties of Crete. It is to produce the highest quality wine, vinegar and retsina using the most up-to-date production methods while showing the utmost respect to tradition. It is to deliver our vision for quality wine, as well as every other product we offer. From Crete… to the ends of the earth.
The Winery
Since 1927, for 100 years now, we have proudly watched our vision become reality. And that’s thanks to you. The great response to our products has kept alive our passion for never-ending growth, factors which led to us taking the important decision to implement a ground-breaking and massive project unveiled by the Union in 2008. That was none other than our new, cutting-edge winery.

Our History
In the blessed earth of the Cretans, wine production is an unbroken part of history. From antiquity, from the brilliant Minoan Civilisation until the present, 4000 years of vineyards, grapes and wine. A tradition deeply forged in the soul and generously offered up by the Region, as generous as the welcome from the island’s people. From fertile Crete, mother Earth, to the glass of millions.
